Foodbanks

Who we are
The Foodbanks at St Paul’s and The Good Shepherd exist to support local individuals and families who find themselves in financial difficulty by providing them with a food parcel including the basic essentials. Many individuals and families may hit financial hardship due to a number of reasons; by providing food during a time of crisis, some of that pressure can be alleviated, and a helping hand is offered.

What we do
We work with many local partners and agencies who are able to refer their clients to our service by completing a foodbank referral form for them. The completed form entitles the client to six visits to our foodbank. Each parcel includes the basic essentials for an individual or family and will include items such as: cereal, pasta, tinned vegetables and fruit, as well as household products and toiletries if we have them available. Our foodbanks runs every Monday afternoon from 1-2.30pm at The Good Shepherd and Wednesday morning from 9.30 – 11.30am, at St Paul's.

Clothing

If you are in need of any particular items of clothing, please fill in our Clothes Requests Form below, detailing your needs and remember to include size and preferred style.

Foodbank - Clothes Request Form

Once you have completed and submitted the form, your items will be ready to collect after 7 days. You can collect at our Foodbank on Wednesday’s between 9.30-11.30am at St Pauls Church, Bath Road, Hounslow West, TW3 3DA.

Please note that all our clothes are donated and we may not always have the specific item(s) you are looking for.

How to partner with us
If you are a professional working in the local area and would like to signpost your clients to the foodbank, then please contact the foodbank team who will talk you through how we operate and email a referral form to you. We are keen to work in collaboration with other agencies as we seek to support those who find themselves in financial hardship, and help signpost them to further help and support if needed.

How to receive help
If you find yourself in need and could benefit from receiving a food parcel, please speak to someone who is involved in your situation such as a Health Visitor, Social Worker, Work Coach or Housing Officer. If this is not possible, then please call the Foodbank to find out more about how you can be referred to our services.

Get involved
A key value of ours is that we seek to work in partnership with the local community, and that by working together, we can really make a difference to local residents. All donations come from local individuals, schools, business and churches - the foodbank would not be able to meet the high demand for food parcels without this invaluable support. If you would like to donate to the foodbank, listed below are the items needed:

The Good Shepherd is open every Monday afternoon to receive donations (1-2.30pm).

St Paul's church is open every Wednesday morning to receive donations (9.30-11.30am).

For more information - please contact foodbank@hwparish.org.uk or call 07763 083049.
